Pinterest Mini Sessions!!!

Here is a shoot that I did at Elk Grove Park.

I am setting up some "Pinterest Mini Shoot Sessions" in November and December.

What are mini sessions?

They are 15 minute photo shoots where I am at one location for many appointments

and we just take a few poses/ideas

(from Pinterest a lot of the time) and use that 15 minutes to take about 50-100 photo's.

(This shoot was actually a full shoot but the ones I selected to post are what could fit into a mini session-

full photo sessions are available also.)

Little Lovely London!!!

Here is the Little Lovely London!!!

About 12 years ago when I set out on this photography business road...one of my first goals was to SOMEHOW be in the packets that the moms get in the hospital when they bring their babies home. I had no idea how to do that...asked a few nurses a few times, kinda just decided it wasn't going to happen. Other "big" chain photographer's already were there with the newborn pics and had advertisements for future sessions and seem to have contracts in place to protect anyone else from coming in.

Last year a marketing firm found my website and asked if I wanted to be a part of a new program in 2 area hospitals. They asked  me to come up with a special for new moms that would reach EVERY  mom having a baby in those hospitals...I was so excited I HAD REACHED MY GOAL!!!

And THEY found/chose me!!! (this year 3 area hospitals will be a part of this program).

So...back to Little Lovely London!!!

I honestly have been looking at a LOT of online photography...as any good photographer knows you need to SEE what others are doing.

This shoot...I decided to STAY true to my style and we were going to try a few "poses" if that's what you call them. I think they are just very natural ways of cuddling and loving on a baby... so with very little direction...no photo shopping newborns heads upright and in place in unnatural newborn poses...AND in LESS then an hour (I heard from a client who did a "special" with someone else, got ONE really beautiful picture, but after 2 days and SEVEN hours!!! SERIOUSLY?!?)

Here is the outcome of little 5 week old London's photo shoot with her mom and dad!

This was the very first picture taken...I think it is my favorite of the day!

 Haha...and sometimes the shot just doesn't come together like you plan...but I like it anyways!

Another Happily Ever After! Here is sweet JULIA!!!!

Here is ANOTHER Happily Ever After...as I like to call when the brides and grooms who's wedding's I have shot...HAVE BABIES!!!

This is sweet Julia! Her parents April and Aaron got married a few years ago.

I was so excited to hear about Julia!

Here is her 6 month photo shoot...as you see...she has JUST started sitting...

...so we thought maybe adding a few friends to the picture might help prop her up...

...she likes her little friends...

...there we go...

...isn't this just sweetness!!!

We finally let her lay down...much more comfy...

April had set out the basket to use...she looks so pretty in it!

The smiles were directed RIGHT at mom and dad!!!

I so had to pick this picture as my picture of the day!!! This is ONE of my favorite's from one of yesterday's photo shootss! Isn't this just too cute! I love shooting in fun new ways!

Pinterest Photo Idea - Pregnant Chalk Board

My Pinterest Idea for today is such a cute idea! I wish I had done it with my pregnancy's!

 So as always, I LOVE sharing those kind of ideas with all of you!

This can be done at home...no pro photographer needed!!!

I have seen this before of course..but not with a chalkboard...and to add the the comments too! Reminds me of the book "What to Expect When Your Expecting"...

"As Time Passes" Pinterest Idea of the Day!!!

I LOVE to share not only my work on this blog but awesome picture ideas that I find around.

 My favorite place right now is Pinterest!!! (Who's isn't huh?!?)

My favorite ideas to show are the ones I title "As Time Passes". These are ideas of ways to show the progression of age in your family. I love sharing these because when I look through them I wish I know of ALL of these when my Little's where younger!!! So THIS is why I LOVE to share with you!!!

Here is the picture/idea I am sharing today:

This is meant for sister's and brothers. A specific picture you do year after year that is similar in idea/pose. It can also be used for cousins that may be close in age. My daughter and 2 of my cousins girls are all within a year of age of each other...and I have through the years taken pictures of all three of them together and it is so cute to look back at the changes!
